"India's growing clout in the comity of nations is causing worry to many. The bomb blasts have been carried out by ISI and other foreign agencies to discredit and destabilise the BJP-led government," Rajendra Chadha, joint convenor of Pragya Pravah, the RSS intellectual forum said. Taking strong exception to the allegation that Hindu organisations were behind the blasts, Chadha said media and church leaders should go into depth to find out the truth. "Church leaders and the media would do well to find out ground realities before levelling charges at us at the drop of a hat. Mere rhetoric without substance will only create friction within the society," he said. "The Hindus are a peace loving community. They will never resort to such dastardly acts," the RSS leader said. He said the spate of attacks on Christian clergy and institutions could be due to "internal feud between various Christian denominations and clamour for foreign funds." Chadha regretted that today "even a theft in a Christian's house is projected as an assault on Christianity itself. This is ridiculous." (PTI)
